Marlboro by Anouk Masson Krantz details what remains is more telling than what’s present. A spent cigarette, ash curling in shallow depth of field, and no sign of its smoker. Through this sparse detail, Krantz conjures resilience, ritual, and the untold stories behind sandy hands or midday breaks. The frame becomes an elegy for fleeting moments, an image of labor and life distilled into texture and suggestion.
