ARCTIC GHOST
Nanavut, Canada, 1997
Wearing its beautiful winter coat, an Arctic fox stalks its prey. Because of their amazingly warm fur, their metabolic rate does not actually change until temperatures reach the minus 40s. These small canines survive by hunting mice and other small birds and mammals.
