Traditionally, movement is not a characteristic generally associated with 20” x 24” Polaroid’s. This image is an exception. She lunged forward. “Another decisive moment.”

As John Reuter, the director of the 20 x 24 Polaroid Studio was pealing the print from the negative I noticed the image was partially undeveloped. Silently, I looked at John and he asked me, “Do you know what Lucas Samaras would call this?” I responded, “No, what?” He said, “A gift.” He was right.
