On the Rocks

On the Rocks

British Columbia, Canada, 2011

I often wonder what it is about wolves that we find so insufferable. Tens of thousands of years ago, the future of our two species became intertwined forever. Why is it, then, that we so resolutely persecute the wild counterparts of our best friends? It breaks my heart that a unique community like BC's coastal wolves is "On the Rocks" due to fear and contempt that has no foundation in reality.
