Much of my photography is motivated by the desire to challenge our preconceptions surrounding our fellow wildlife. Sometimes that means revealing the inherent poetry within the delicate movements of an apex predator, or contrasting their formidable appearance with the serenity and sanctity of nature. If I can evoke emotions within my viewers and bring all that is wild and remote closer to their hearts, suddenly the divide between us and the natural world appears less daunting and more permeable. It is as if we start to see ourselves reflected in the untamed beauty of the world around us.
