“The challenge of photographing a masterpiece like the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park is deciding where to focus your attention. In the end, I decided the vast mosaic of rainwater lagoons, sandy peaks, and winding red rivers needed no focal point. Playing with pattern, colour, light, and scale through the movement of birds crossing the frame, I simply allowed nature to direct my compositions.
