On rare occasions during southern expeditions, I would escape our vessel in a little Zodiac and cruise amongst Antarctica's towering ice giants. Like the forgotten ruins of some ancient civilization, these monuments are a fading testament to nature's extraordinary architecture. There is a story behind every scar, furrow, and crack in the ice – my job is to bring them home to share with all of you.
