Shimmering Sail

Shimmering Sail

Yucatan, Mexico, 2008

Over the years, I have found that the true magic of the ocean lies in its endless biodiversity. No matter how many times you slip beneath the waves, there is always something new to uncover: the northern right whale dolphin (Lissodelphis borealis), a type of dolphin which lacks a dorsal fin, the deep-dwelling blue shark, or sailfish orchestrating complex hunts in pursuit of sardines.

My journey as a photographer has given me a window into a beautiful, intricate world we barely understand—yet one we all depend on for survival. It is my greatest privilege in life to share images that bring us closer to the ecosystems that sustain us and deepen our understanding of our planet.
