Son of Segera

I am always searching for compositions that challenge how we see Earth’s top predators. Lions, long known as icons of power and majesty, are often photographed for their grandeur. But I’ve become more drawn to subtler truths. Their quiet stealth. The way they seem to dissolve into the land. That feline stillness, watchful and always on high alert. In Kenya’s Segera Conservancy, I sat watched as lions threaded their way through the tall grass, their presence felt before it was seen. In moments like this, it feels as though I have slipped back in time to a land before humans left their mark on the world with our roads, aircraft, and ships.
